Building Bridges, Creating Together: Unlocking the "Win-Win" Code for African Cross-Border E-commerce
The event attracted scholars, entrepreneurs, international students, and industry professionals from both China and Africa to jointly explore the opportunities and challenges of cross-border e-commerce in the African market, injecting new momentum into the digital economy cooperation between China and Africa.
In his opening remarks, Dr. Xiao Hao, Executive Vice Dean of the African Studies Institute, emphasized that cross-border e-commerce has become a vital link in China-Africa economic and trade cooperation and a key driver of Africa's digital transformation. This was followed by a keynote speech titled "Kilimall's Innovation Journey in Africa" by Ms. Chen Yao, Vice President of Kilimall.
During the roundtable discussion, young representatives from China and Africa engaged in in-depth exchanges about pain points and innovations in cross-border e-commerce. International students and practitioners from countries such as Benin and Madagascar offered suggestions from niche market perspectives, while Mr. Li Yulong, General Manager of Changsha Yuxi E-commerce Co., Ltd., shared his entrepreneurial transformation experience in a meaningful dialogue with African youth entrepreneurs. The session concluded with a summary by Mr. Xiao Mingzhi, Executive Director of Kudu Digital Technology.
The roundtable not only provided diverse solutions to African cross-border e-commerce challenges but also created a platform for Sino-African youth to exchange ideas and connect resources. With companies like Kilimall continuing to deepen localized operations and innovative mechanisms such as the "International Student Entrepreneurship Port" being implemented, China-Africa cross-border e-commerce is advancing toward a new stage of more efficient and sustainable development. Moving forward, a cooperation model driven by digital technology and bonded by cultural integration will undoubtedly open broader "win-win" spaces for China-Africa economic and trade cooperation.
